ABOUT

Born in Charleston, SC, Chandler Trask hails from one of Beaufort’s bedrock families, as the Trasks have contributed to nearly every facet of the Beaufort community for several generations. If you live in Beaufort, you likely know or do business with more than one member of this well respected clan. After attending Beaufort Academy for grades 1-10, Chandler completed his prep education at The Asheville School in Asheville, NC before going on to the University of South Carolina where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from USC’s College of Applied Professional Sciences. Having majored in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Administration, he set out into those fields for several years while living in Charleston and Savannah before coming home in 1997 to form Trask Appraisal Company (TAC).

After developing an interest in the construction business, he and a partner formed Broad River Construction in 1999. Chandler maintained his ownership of TAC and remained active in the firm until selling his interests in June of 2006 to shift 100% of his focus to the construction business. “The real estate appraisal business opened my eyes to the opportunities available in construction,"says Chandler. “I was already on construction sites every day, and the craft of building Houses -- instead of putting paper in a filing cabinet – became far much more interesting to me.”Chandler and his wife Amy, an elementary school librarian, married in 1993 and have two beautiful children. Their son Tucker is 18 and their daughter Stewart is 15. Chandler is a zealous/rabid supporter of the University of South Carolina, his Alma Mater and attends many of the teams gridiron games every year. Go Gamecocks!

When he isn't busy with family and building homes, Chandler's favorite pastimes involve being on the water. Whether it is a day out on the on the river cooking out with families and friends or a fishing trip with the guys, Chandler knows what a blessing it is to live surrounded by such natural beauty. He loves to meet newcomers to the area to share with them this amazing community that has been home to his family for generations.
